Some designers get it and b michael gets it! b michael's spring 2011 collection was an homage to Haiti. b michael recently returned from his visit to Haiti (Port-Au-Prince / Fishing Village of Luly) after meeting with representatives of the Bill Clinton Foundation & USAID - HAITI to discuss possible collaboration with several Haitian Designers for New York Fashion Week Spring 2011.

The b michael America Spring 2011 show was also used as an awareness event for THE DREAM YARD PROJECT. Dream Yard is the largest arts education provider in the Bronx and its programs reach 8,500 K- 12 grade students annually.

The spring 2011 collection has all the staples that b michael fans have come to love such as flowy, well-constructed gowns/garments. This collection is modern glam at its best.

Among those spotted in the front row as supporters of the show were: actress Cicely Tyson, Michelle Paige Paterson, Myrna Colley- Lee, BeBe Winans, Harriette Cole, Marcia Dyson, Nicole Murphy, Michaela Angela Davis and Dr. Joyce F. Brown, President of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
