Anait Bian  NY Fashion Week Fall 2006

Fashion Ledge - Anait Bian
Anait Bian Fall / Winter 2006

I love…lots of color especially poison green and the deepest red and orange,” says Anait Bian. And boy she doesn’t disappoint! Her fall 2006 offering was so light visually that it bordered on a spring collection. We’re not complaining - - after sitting through so many shows with dark somber colors, we were happy for a break from the monotony. A gorgeous white cream jacket with white cream skirt floated down the runway and her red organza skirt with tulle red organza shirt was fun and flirty in a sophisticated way.

But Anait also loves, “soft feminine silhouettes combined with tailoring and architectural structure.” Her design prowess was on full display with her last piece, a white wool organza dress with cashmere floral appliqué. It captured the essence of chic without being a cutesy piece. This collection is for a sophisticated woman who wants to be noticed in the humdrum months of the fall.
