Sass & Bide, the Australian fashion label, which is internationally acclaimed and recognized for its over the top styling and quirkiness upheld and exceeded the audience’s expectations. Model's had interesting horse like ponytails, there was more black and gold and leggings, so it was a comfortable familiarity with a twist of metallics, dark neutrals, oversized berets and riding hats.
This fall 2007 collection was titled "The Lovehawk Season" and the names of the 47 pieces shown embodied that exact idea. Pieces like the harem pants titled "take me back," the knit dress "what lies ahead," and the knitted bomber "deeper love," allowed the expression to be felt. The "lovehawk season" captured relaxed luxury through vintage embellishment and free silhouettes, aesthetically crafted around the artistic expression of repetition and reflection.
"A dichotomy of shapes creates a complimentary aesthetic through tailoring and draping. Blazer silhouettes, with an emphasis on the shoulder line, are offset with geometric sequins ciercles." "Space and unity are featured in prints such as 'zig zag' and 'clementine' with gathering and draping emphasizing voluminous adjustable sleeves caught and cinched at the waist, hems and cuffs."
Key looks of the collection were drapey antique metallic gold jersey mini with "v" ruching on the bodice; black full skirted jacket with large buttons and white with gold art deco "v" mini with white tights.
